P.S. Ollie, I have a similar problem in that when 'They' shouted 'Brains', I thought they said 'Trains', and got on the last one...
At least we were all in line when They shouted "sense of humour" Although I think some members cut in front when I was chatting to a pretty girl.
Never make a decision standing up.

Interesting question that is, why do we reply to certain posts. I tend not tp reply to requests for reviews etc, because most of them are non fiction, which is not really what I write or necessarily know about. Self PUblishing is what I know about, so I tend to look for and reply to anything to do with that, since I was there once myself (not that long ago, but before I found this site) looking for help and advice and if I had known then what I know now, well, I wouldn't have done things differently, but it would have been very useful to have known these things. If I can pass some of my knowledge on to others then, I will consider that I have done a very good deed.

Other than that, it is mianly the discussion type and jokey threads that I tend to post on - your successes, word games etc, etc, etc. It all helps to lighten things a little, as lets's face it, the writers life can get a bit too heavy at times !
