I remember when you first introduced us to that lady, and your musings about her personality.

Well done.

Yay for you, Amanda!  That is a true ACHIEVEMENT!

Thank you!  I sent the first 3 chapters and the synopsis to an agent last night after being told by 2 others that they aren't taking on any new authors right now and the one I emailed last night could take up to 6 weeks to get back to me so I can concentrate on Speckles until NaNo then I'll do the editing of my NaNo MS ready to send off after Christmas to the same/other agents!

Way to go Cowboy.

Well, I made it onto the short list for Blood Bound Books Nighterrors 2 anthology, but I didn't make the cut.
They said the writing was strong and the story interesting, but there were just too many great stories. Oh, well,
now comes the nice part of choosing who to send it to next.  :)

Never mind - you did brilliantly to get to the shortlist. And with such a positive outlook, you'll find a place for it somewhere else, I bet. Good luck with that!

Got an old flash fiction piece into Pill Hill Press's Daily Frights 2012 Anthology.
Can't wait to see the cover. They always come up with great stuff.

More congrats you hard-working man. I cannot tell you how much I am in awe of your creative productivity, being a teacher is hard work and takes up a hell of a lot of time outside the classroom, despite what people say about the office hours and the holidays. ;) ;) ;)

Thanks, Sio. I really think most people have no idea how much work goes into teaching. I know there are teachers who slack,
you'll get that in every job. It's almost like being a secretary for a tough boss while babysitting 40 kids. Then add about five
hyperactive kids who don't want to drink their medicine.  :D

I've been appointed as a submissions manager/editor for the South African Literary Magazine, at least until they catch up on the backlog.
Luckily I'm not the only one helping out.  :)
