I've just heard that I 've been placed 2nd in the Flash500 competition. Needless to say, I'm over the moon!!!! And it comes after receiving a rejection today from a magazine for a short story that had left me feeling despondent! ( the rejection, not the short story)There is a God!!!! Hey, that could be the title of my next story!!!

The rollercoaster of a writer's life, encapsulated in one day ;-)

Well done.
My website is currently having a holiday, but will return like the $6,000,000 man.  Bigger, stronger, etc.

In the meantime, why not take pity on a starving author and visit my book sales page at http://stores.lulu.com/gyppo1

That's great news, Chrissie. Congratulations. Competitions are a lot more worthy than just a short story acceptance. Well done.

Not much of a publication, but Postcard Shorts have published my weird little
story 'Food Fights', which I once used for a flash fiction challenge here on MWC.
Story still makes me laugh.

Very good, Joe, if just a tad gruesome! Am now about to while away a happy hour or so reading more on the site!

Good one Joe! ;)

Thanks, Sio.

Here's the link to my newest story. They published it this morning at Bewildering Stories. Thanks to everyone here who helped with the editing bits.   :-*

Congratulations Chrissie, Joe and everyone else I've missed lately!

I'm happy dancing right now because a big airline contacted me to write bits for their newsletter. I have no idea if I'll take the job yet, I'm just excited that such a big name came to me. If it's a step towards the inflight magazine, I'm in!  :)
