Just seen my entry for a flash fiction comp has made it on to the shortlist - seriously nervous now!

Don't be nervous, be excited.  They're close cousins at the best of times ;-)

Being shortlisted is an achievement in itself, but there's nothing else you can do now to influence the final result, so just enjoy the sensation of being wanted.

It's understandable that you're nervous but try to enjoy the feeling while it lasts  :)  Well done so far, Chrissie!

Joe - just read your story on The New Flesh  and enjoyed it. Hit Howls and left a comment! Didn't know you got Dr Who in SA?

Thanks. Not sure if the comments work on that site. I've tried myself and so have a few others. I've watched some of the original
Dr Who episodes way back when. Haven't seen any of the new ones yet.

Try to watch the new stuff - it's much better than the old, though not sure how far back you've seen.Best Doctor for me, by far, is David Tennant!
