Congratulations, Joe!
Yes, I think the news is exclamation mark worthy. This doesn't go against my limit for the year, right? ;D

Good for you Joe. I dare say that for the short story writers around here , you hold the title for the most published last year (that we know of at least) and you're getting a good start on it for this year already.  ;D

Ok, ok,...at least go check it out and make a purchase. The hardback edition looks great and, all in all, has great substance.  :)

It took me ten years to do it, but there is a sequel to VIGILANTE JUSTICE.  Published last week, Gary Drake returns in LAZARUS.  http://www.lulu.com/product/paperback/lazarus/14685413 hypes the paperback pretty prominently, but the ebook link is off to the right if you prefer.

Congratulations Michael.  :D

It's not the time to get it done, it's the fact that you completed it that counts.

I've been told by Mom that I should get over here more and let you know what's up.

This is going to be a busy year for me. I self-published at the end of 2010 a collection of my short stories and flashes, twenty five in all, that have appeared in magazines over the past five years. A small handful are making their first appearance, including one Country4Gal helped me plot out, "Justice in the Balance" (which just this weekend I've ebooked it on Kindle, Nook, and Smashwords)

The book is called Ethereal Worlds and is in paperback, Kindle, Nook, and Smashwords.

Then, on March 1st, my new publisher, Splashdown Books, will be coming out with an expanded version of my first book, Infinite Realities with a new title, Reality's Dawn. The original had five shorts and was a braided novella. I've added ten more short stories about Sisko's journey to fill out the story and add depth to the characters, to make it into a full braided novel. I really like the stories that popped out of my brain. I wrote nine of the stories within two months, right before diving into NaNo. I know, I'm crazy. I ended up having a three month intensive writing focus.

Then on May 1st, my publisher is going to republish Transforming Realities but re-title it Reality's Ascent. Same story, just clean up a few typos that escaped the first edition's editors.

Then sometime toward the end of the year, the third and final book in that series, nowhere published before, will come out: Reality's Glory.

On top of that, I have a goal this year to submit four new novel manuscripts. I've already submitted one. I should have another ready in short order. Getting the final two will be the challenge. But if one publisher will take the one I'm about to submit (I subbed it last year so its a resub and doesn't count toward my goal), then I'll be able to submit the sequel to them.

And somewhere in all that I want to keep writing shorts and flashes. Whew. If only I could quit my day job, I'd be in play-land. :)
