I have an article being published in the next edition of More 2 Life Magazine on crystal skulls, which will soon be very topical again - my partner knows the editor as he does their website. I am not being paid, but it is all good publicity.

Have sold 130 books through Waterstones now and received an order for 3 copies from the Big Green Bookshop in London - run by 2 ex Waterstones Managers and lovely people they are too. If the book does well, they may want to me to go up there to do a talk and/or signing.

I used to be an aetheist until I realised I was God

Further about Jeanette's book Abandoned.  I've just received my copy from Lulu.  Its a fine looking book, with a very evocative and appropriate cover design.  I've been a bit too busy - and spaced out on hay-fever pills - to read more than the first few pages so far but the 'villain' is already everything a good villain should be.

I'll write a review for Lulu when I've finished reading it, and post a copy here on MWC as well.

Well done, Jeanette ;-)

Gyp, you're too kind.

I'm not being kind, it's just a damned good book ;-)  I put it down at 3am this morning, about halfway through, and found myself wondering where the time had gone.

A wonderful cast of characters.

I've got a book deal.   :)
As in  I'm going to write a book and get it published. Garantueed! (And I haven't even written one word of it yet...)

We were at a Homeschooling Conference today, at a workshop and someone said we really shoud have a Dutch book about homeschooling. Then someone else (a publisher) said if he could find someone to write that book, he would publish it.

Well, what could I do but jump at the opportunity?
So I said I'll write it.
My publisher (wow, that sounds sooo cool!) wants me to write a 200 page standard work about Home Education in the Netherlands.

Yay! I'm so excited! :D

Not exactly a success, but tonight I managed to write the most grotesquely haunting scene (for the final part of my series 'Salvatore House') I've ever written. I swear, it actually frightened me, as I imagined it. Mind you, the lights were off, and I'm a scaredy-cat ;D ;D

Just had another review of my book posted on Amazon and it's a corker:

An excellent book about starting out in the world of freelance writing for newspapers, magazines and the internet as well as lots of great tips for commercial writing - catalogues, press releases etc....It will either increase your enthusiasm or convince you that this type of work is not for you.

If I was five stone lighter, I'd do a cartwheel. Or something.

Thank you, there are 11 five star reviews now so I'm happy with that, someone posted a two-star review and I was beside myself (and wittered on about that here!) It's great to see I am getting some excellent reviews but I still have no idea about sales, they were pretty (okay very) poor last time I asked. Writing magazine is doing a piece very soon and has a copy to give away as a prize, and has said I can do a "celebrity" review of a winning short story, which has made me laugh!

Hi folks. I've been interviewed for New Writing International, and another site Oh My News has picked it up. I managed to get a plug for Station Shorts in during the interview! They've posted an excerpt from my book as well. You can see it at:
