Write an Episode of your Favourite TV Programme.
« on: March 18, 2007, 06:45:10 PM »
The rules are simple:
Write an episode of your favourite TV programme, or any show you like.
Your entry can be in the form of a screenplay or normal prose, which ever is your preferred medium.
Minimum 3,000 words
Maximum 8,000 words

The competition starts NOW and runs until Midnight on April 18th.  That's 1 month... Plenty of time.

PLEASE PM ME YOUR ENTRIES.
Don't post your whole episode in this thread, it will take up too much room.
Instead Post a 200 word summary in the thread and PM me your complete entry.
I will host them all on my website and provide links to them in this first post.

Voting will Start at some point on that day.
Anyone can vote, even if you don't enter the competiton.  You will be asked to vote for your favourite entry in each of the following categories:

Most Dramatic
Most Emotional
Most Faithful to the Original Show
Best Dialogue
Funniest
Best 200 word Summary
(and I might think up a few more before the closing date)

There will be a winner in each category.
The overall winner will be the person with the most votes in all catagories.

Hopefully there will be a prize
I've got a month to think of one.
Feel free to make suggestions for prizes in this thread.

Do we have to write it like a script?

It's really up to you, if you're used to writing scripts or screenplays, then by all means do, but if you'd prefer to write it in the form of a short story then that is absolutely fine.

Could anyone who thinks they might take part just let me know in this thread, just so I have a rough idea.
Thanks

Well I'll give it a go but I don't know if I'll post it yet. I'll have to see how I get on.
