Good morning :)

Hey everyone, my name is Helen. I write fantasy and science fiction, and currently have two novels in progress (because I like variety).

I'm also a prolific fan fic writer.

Um. Gah, I never know what to put in these things!

I'm 33 and I like in the UK. I'm married with kids. I'm slightly insane.

What more do you need to know? ;D

Hi and Welcome Helen.  I'm not 33 & I'm from the US.  I too am married with kids and plenty nuts   ;D

"Slightly insane" is good, as oppose to slightly "sane" which is terrifying.  Welcome Helen.

I am disappointed to hear that you are slightly insane.  Perhaps an introduction to PaulW will cure you, and then you can join those of us who are fully certified and incurable.  ;D

Be fair, Fordy.  'Slightly insane' is a good 'entry level' qualification.  We all had to start somewhere.  Nor everyone is born with a full set of ready loosened marbles.  Some of us have to bang our heads against publishers doors for years to get in ;-)

Sorry Helen, Gyppo is right we do all have to start somewhere, but PaulW does set a very high standard and you might like to check out the Coffee Shop thread in his name where he is currently recruiting writers for a push towards world domination.  Please feel free to become fully an incurably insane at your own speed.
