Read These Instructions Carefully

Hi Everyone,

Ive just bought a light box for getting me through the winter blues and SAD Syndrome.   Thought it would be good for me.   I read the instructions from a British company and I think they need to look again before I switch it on.

Look out for electric shocks!!!

2. Cut the retaining cable tie at the bottom and discard.   ( a bit like Eats, Shoots and Leaves!)

Also they mention at the start of the leaflet
Plug the cable into the wall socket, Switch the lightbox on, the Swtich will illuminate!!

Would this be better
Plug in and switch on!!

I bought a little 'steamer' a few weeks ago and remember laughing at one of the instructions which said 'Do not steam clothes while being worn.'

Are people really that stupid?

There's my old favourite on the bag of peanuts - "Warning - contains nuts"!

Or how about on a muffin wrapper - "Remove wrapper, open mouth, insert muffin, eat"

Finally, my favourite for simple surrealness - on a mattress - " Do not attempt to swallow"
