Yet another great picture. Was this taken while you were away?

I think this is turning into one of the biggest 'threads' on here. Lovin' it!! ;D

Hi Angeleyes,
Yes, this is taken at the face of the Perito Moreno glaciar in Argentina. I tend to visit it quite often at the request of my passengers...and never get sick of it.

And yes, excellent thread

Visitors to Daman are welcome all year round. Daman is written as 'Damao' in Portuguese which means, 'give me your hand' - a handshake/welcome. But its time to gin now as summer has  set in and its hot! Coffee & rum is great at Christmas time but you can try my Biscuit cake posted in this forum (Coffee Shop) - all you need is love and some chocolate and a spoonful of sugar - and don't forget to dip the biscuits in rum!

Well I tried to insert an image with my picture and all I got was a broken link for my effort.

Oh well. I added a pic to my profile. The picture is from a trip we took to Durango Colorado back in November.

No the second head isn't Quatto, it's my son Michael. He's in a Baby Bjorn. You may not be able to tell from the tiny thumb nail picture, but at the time he was 6 mos. old and weighed 22lbs (Aie Carumba!)

Good morning gub2000,

If you click on the icon - 2nd row down and 2nd from the left (the one that looks like Van Gogh´s Field of wheat with cypresses), you will get 2 `img´ fields in square brackets.

In between these bracket insert the FULL URL of your photo (the photo must already be on the web for this to work).....voila!

Best of luck

Matelot, I tried that and got a broken link when I clicked 'Preview'.

So you are stuck squinting at a thumbnail of me and Baby Huey.

I probably would never have posted my picture in the forum if this thread hadn't been here.  I have spent most of my life self conscious about my weight. So here I am.

Although a large lady, i am attractive in the true sense of the word, in that everyone who sees me smiles at me, then comes over to talk to me if possible. So I attract people, even though by most cultural guidelines I'm not a beauty.  But attractive is nice to be- and i seem to attract really nice people- which is a surprise and a delight to me.

Of course, I went through that whole overweight stigma for years and hated my looks- until I finally learned to be content with being attractive.

I really do like most of the people I meet, and they like me, so that works.  being large is just one of those things.  And I do enjoy seeing everyone's pictures when I read the posts.  It makes it seem friendlier here and more welcoming.

I hope other self conscious people will be encouraged to post their pictures.
