I have a feeling that this questions has already been asked a number of times but, maybe there is some current information available.
Over the years, I have self published 10 books. I've seen advertisements by companies that claim to accept manuscripts directly from authors. I looked into one and discovered they charge more than $5,000 just to accept a book.
Are there any legitimate companies that, after a review, will accept a manuscript to publish without any upfront charge?
