words- and their meaning change
« on: January 06, 2022, 06:58:00 PM »
This board is started for fun.

The rules are simple.

1. Write a word and its meaning.

2. next write the word and what its meanings  has evolved into.

Example:

From a 1966 Dictionary the meaning of the word gay- Merry
2022  from the internet the meaning of the word gay- (of a person) homosexual (used especially of a man).
"the city's gay and lesbian people"

note:  I'm sure someone is old enough to know words with meaning that have been changed. jt
