Some of these sites take pennies for the work that is done by writers. Not exactly the best way to go but look at Amazon and self publishing and I guess it's not the worst you could do. I have a hard time with people who offer little money for the work writers do and with writers that give their work away. They bring down the pay-scale for writers. There are many writers who deserve more but I guess you can pick and choose so it's up to you.

I have found in 70 years of living that there are some who 'overrate" their talent. When money is tight, most people are thankful to get  a 'little money.' No one has to look for a writing job  on the two sites.....I posted  them for writers who might be interested.

What site would you suggest?

And I agree there are many people who overrate their talent. I suppose most of us do overrate our abilities at one time or another.

Freelance is new and one of the best ways of job. In my opinion, certainly. It even could be a new way of living if you want it to be. And actually, I quite like it, even after reading this article. You can be discharged or resigned from your vacancy, but things seem to be easier with freelance. Here you can solve all your problem by yourself and choose whether you want this job or not. So, yea. Guys from this service write about actually relevant things.

and even more shame on you for encouraging students to cheat by offering to write it on their behalf for a fee.

PIJ, I agree. Students  who let others do their work ,apparently, haven't given much thought to their future. And those who offer to do their school work, in exchange for money, should be a shame. Thing in life worth having are the things in life worth working for.
