I know there is another topic on here about what tools we use when writing, but I have a different question.
I have a program I found, Balabolka, that will read my writing back to me. Yeah, it's a computer voice, but they're not as bad as they used to be. There are other voices that I could use, but I prefer the free version. I open the Word file - or Kindle ebook if I've uploaded a draft - and listen along as I read along. It's actually very helpful. I was amazed at how many things I missed by reading and re-reading the same sentences and paragraphs over and over. It's a unique experience that's helped me fine tune my work. (You can even export the whole thing to an mp3 file, transfer it to your phone, and then play it in your car. I mean, if you were so inclined to do something like that.

)
My question is this: I've been using Balabolka for a couple of years and have no complaints. It works great. It's free! But,
Is there something else I could use that does the same thing? I'd love to use something with a more realistic voice - and something that wouldn't cost too much. (Like I said, free is awesome.)
