hi, everyone

I am not a native English speaker so I'll be asking you to bear with me should I slip up (grammar-wise that is). I hope to learn much from you but what I look forward to more is to hang out with other writers.

Welcome to our fairly civilised corner of the Big Bad Web.  A place where a lot of good stuff gets done despite, or perhaps because of, the silliness in some of the game threads or the MWC bar.

My website is currently having a holiday, but will return like the $6,000,000 man.  Bigger, stronger, etc.

In the meantime, why not take pity on a starving author and visit my book sales page at

Welcome to MWC, Beely. We have many members who aren't native English speakers. You're in good company.  ;)

Please take a moment to read our etiquette guidelines-

You’ll find more tips in the blue threads with the stick pin icons at the top of each board. These will help you as you learn your way around.

Do be sure to give a few critiques for each one you request to keep things fair.  ;)

Consider entering any open flash or poetry challenges. They can be found on the Writing Games and Challenges Board.

Should you need any help along the way, just message a moderator. We're the ones with our names in blue at the bottom of the Home screen.

Enjoy your time on the forum,  :)
