I've read it to apply to my prose pieces. My daughter is a screenwriter and let me know about him. He offers a workshop, too.

I believe Syd Field's book or books are considered the bible in Hollywood.

If I'm wrong someone chime in.

Some years ago I did a Screenwriting course and
they had a book from Syd Field for learing the basics.
