My contributions have been feeble and pathetic.

Read the crits you received REW!
Your poems were anything but 'feeble and pathetic'.
Get involved with RMP, write and critique...make Tom happy  ;D

Maybe I will try to get into RMP, but it is hard for me.  I really did have a terrible experience on another site and ah...I don't know how to describe it...It was really hard thinking I was part of a community when I wasn't...and I guess I am just sort of detached.

Moderators please don't take this down yet.  There are some people I would like to maybe pm or respond to still.  Thanks  :)

REW - not to worry -- this thread won't be taken down at all.  The prior years' NaPo threads are still up, in the receding layers of the Coffee House past. :)

In the thirty days of April, 2017, our NaPo thread hosted the work of eighteen authors and featured 268 poems. There were 636 postings to the thread, and over 6,750 views.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have the occasional spat on RMP, but not too many  :)
There aren't any prima donnas in attendance at the moment, so it's a comfortable place to visit.

There are probably just as many spats on the prose side of the fence. Generally comes down to authors forgetting that it's their work that's being critiqued - not themselves. Personally, I like a 'no holds barred' critique, as long as it's valid :)

It's best to take these things from whence they come. Choose to use or lose is a near-perfect dictum.

Take Note!

I have been persuaded to shorten the voting time on the NaPo Poetry Challenge - voting now closes May 15 - so get it done!

Totally agree, but 'valid' is enough to cause another war  ;D :(
But Kate is mending (lowering) fences by inviting us poem (we only use to top half of a page) people to venture into your multi-paged world  :)
Hope you've voted!

Spread the word - the Poetry Challenge needs more voters - your benefit is the wonderful poems you get to read -- FOR FREE!  ;D ;D

Way to go Mark!

And congrats to all who participated, and especially to those hardy souls who completed the challenge of writing 30 poems in 30 days.  You know who you are.   ;D ;D

Eish. Thanks Tom, and thanks to everybody who participated in the poll. There were some really good pieces posted there, so I'll take this as a big compliment. Does this mean i have to set the next poetry challenge?
And what was that about a banquet with CP?  ;D
