GOWNS...grieving overwhelmed widows negotiating stuff
« on: June 30, 2016, 12:43:50 PM »

I haven't been around these parts for a while. I had some moderate success with articles I have written, and life was generally good until August 2014.

At this juncture my 57 year old husband died of gastric cancer after we had enjoyed an amazing 36 year old marriage which can best be described as an adventure...of the unrepeatable kind, in a good way.

What sustained me in those early days of grief? Well quite simply my ability to communicate in the written form...facilitated in no small part by my postings here and the responses to them back in the days  before the spectre of gastric cancer wrapped its fingers around a world which seemed perfect, if only to us.

What came next? A plan to join my husband without whom my continued existence seemed pointless, and then which somehow turned into a project called GOWNS.

However, the adventure was destined to continue...only now it was to take a different form.
