Short Story Challenge #38

This is an area that I am interested in, so it follows that
everyone
must be interested in it.
Write a story in 1000 words or less that uses
Space
as the setting. That is anything off-planet Earth, from the International Space Station outward to the furthest expanding edge of the Universe. The time can be anywhere from the Big Bang instant into the far future whimpering death of the Universe.
This gives a near-infinite degree of scope for your story. PM the entries to me. The contest closes at 1800 GMT on May 24.
