Help me please, moderators!
« on: February 19, 2006, 06:42:51 PM »
HI everyone,

I'm confused  :-[  I left a note here asking for advice about ms. formatting software. Somehow I got a reply from Foxy (thank-you) on my home e-mail but it dissapeared from the list here. That means that after Foxy graciously replied no one else was able to see my request and add their helpfulness. Also, all of a sudden I'm getting several e-mails sent to me directly that seem they should be going to others and I'm wondering if I accidentaly pushed a clumsy button. I'd like to restore the situation to the normal mode of operation so I can return to the fold. Help?  mary

Also please anyone inform me concerning the software. Also Thx Foxy I did check out what you reccommended but I'm scared to try to get the installation all messed up and my computer with it. But I surely do appreciate the info.  :) mary

It could be that your topic was moved simply because it wasnt quite in the right place.  I shall have to go and look, Im off to England and winding down on Writers Circle in the next few hours, hang in there someone will help you I am sure.  Ill try and get back to you.

Let me know the topic Subject that would help me.   I seem to remember seeing it myself in the midst.

Sorry to be so vague today, Im packing my suitcase!!

Ok good luck\

Mary Ive found it - go to The Writers Circle, I have put it back to the top again.
and if in doubt again click on to your name  MARY  on one of the topics, it will give you your profile, then click on the bottom of the page for the details of the last few posts, there you will find it.

Hello Mary,

Glad Lin was able to sort you out re your post. Are you still having trouble with receiving odd e-mails? If so, could you PM me some details (e.g. content, address, etc.)? I don't think YOU have pushed any wrong buttons - I wonder does somebody else have a very similar e-mail and they're getting mixed up? If they're a bother, don't forget you could always delete your e-mail facility from the forum - you will still automatically be connected to the PM service, so won't be in danger of losing touch with anybody.

Let me know,

Symphony

Hello Mary, Lin and Symphony

I don't know if this will help or muddy the waters, but all I did was post a reply to the board. So how it ended up as an email is a mystery to me.

Ah I think I know what she means.

Each time someone posts a reply you receive a notification from the site stating you have an posting on the site and I think that is what you are referring to you can choose to open the reply from your Outlook Email or you can delete the e-mail and click on SHOW NEW REPLIES TO YOUR POSTS at the top of the home page.

Ok hope this clears up any confusion

Mary, there is no need to be nervous about using Script Smart, they are just MS Word templates. Word ships with a few templates included, Script Smart just adds a few more. All you need to do is put the Script Smart files into your Templates folder.

This is where you'll find it: C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates

Once the files are in there, the next time you start Word click File and select New from the drop down menu and you'll be able to choose whichever Script Smart template you want to use. It's as easy as that :)
