Call For Submissions: Sand Journal Issue #13
« on: December 17, 2015, 03:03:55 PM »
SAND is an English literary journal printed bi-annually in Berlin. It features prose and poetry as well as translations, art, and photography from all over the world. We are currently open for submissions for our upcoming issue.

For our lucky 13th issue, we are particularly looking for great writing from perspectives that are generally under served in literature. For example, female, p.o.c., queer, etc.

We also want to make a special call for literary nonfiction: personal essays, travel essays, creative reportage, etc. We're not looking for hard criticism or anything too academic; we want nonfiction with a strong authorial voice that demonstrates the author's gift for observation.

As one of Berlin's go-to sources for English-language writing and translations, we encourage you to submit to be considered for publication in this fantastic city, and to share your work with our borderless community.

The deadline to submit for this issue is January 15th, 2016.

Submit your work to us here: https://sandjournal.submittable.com/submit

Please send any question you might have to stephanie@sandjournal.com

I have modified your post to replace the "all cap" words with the first letter only in caps. per our guidelines.

Looks like a very nice publication. Unfortunately it doesn't pay contributors, not even in a copy of the issue contributions appear in.
Work hard. Believe. Take a chance.
