Flash Fiction Challenge #109
« on: September 22, 2015, 02:34:48 AM »
Well....this is awkward.

It had been almost three years since I last posted on this site. Work, life, and laziness got in the way, and I drifted away from writing for a bit. One day I opened up MWC again, and checked the writing games, just for kicks. I saw the flash fiction contest and its requirements, thought for a minute, and had 600 words ready to go an hour later. I submitted it, thinking "what the heck, it's not like I'll win or anything". I didn't even WANT to win, I just felt like sharing something that I had wrote.

Then, nine days later, I won. Oops. I guess I'll stick around for a bit then. In the spirit of that, here is the next challenge:

An awkward situation or a chance encounter.

In addition, your submissions will have to include one (or more) of the following:
Emergency sirens or emergency service workers (police, firefighters, paramedics, etc),
A reference to a kitchen or cookware,
An anniversary of some kind.

The challenge should be a maximium of 600 words, and will be due in by October 10th, before midnight.

Please send your submissions to me via PM, with the title "FF Challenge 109: Your Title (your word count)"

Let's get this started! Would a moderator please sticky this thread?

That's two and a half weeks, Writers. Get to work  :)

Sadly, there are no submissions thus far, but there is still plenty of time. Part of that could be my fault, because I've been stupid busy with my college work, and haven't advertised on the other boards much yet. But never fear, I haven't forgot!
