Yes I'm ready to give it another go. I think I've still got last year's in my sig. If I do there's proof that I didn't do too well but I was spending all day writing job applications so I didn't fancy writing my novel after that. I have a job this time so I'll ironically have a bit more time to just write. Fingers crossed it goes slightly better haha.

You got it this year.

OLIVER'S FIRST TIP

Pick a soundtrack.

When times are tough, nothing can motivate you better than a great song. This is something you can do way in advance and helps you emotionally invest in doing Nanowrimo.

I've found mine already.

I'll never get tired of that.

Another tip and something you can do in September is EDIT SOMETHING.

Get all that editing out of your system before the big kickoff so you can concentrate on the writing.

Don't forget, it's also permissible to create your story outline and do some back ground work on your character.

Check out the NaNo site for more info on getting ready for some serious time writing.

I also agree with Thatollie, if you are the type that has trouble resisting the urge to edit, get it out of your system early.  :)

Good idea to focus on editing something now. I need to do that anyway  :-\

And I have my story idea. It came to me in a dream the other night  ;D

Yup, I'm decided. I'm in it this year.

Who else?

I'll be on the spectator cheer squad this year.

I doubt if I'm in this year.  But cheering duties will be performed.

I may set November aside to edit something I produced in a previous year.

I've just been deep inside NaNo's site and finally committed myself, both in mind and body, to giving this years another serious go.

Should anyone wish to add me to your Buddy list, my name there is Alice F.

What is your listed name?

I'm there as thatollie because I'm not allowed to change names there. That's kind of annoying because I love changing my username.

Okay, I still have you on my buddy list then.

Never tried to change my name there. Thought about it today, but never got around to giving it a try.

I'm in quite the conundrum here. How is one supposed to survive an attack by a ninja werewolf?

Interesting problem.

There are two options when fighting off any attack.  One is to counter it with superior force/intelligence.

The other is misdirection, tricking the attacker into attacking someone else.   if you have two attackers the smart trick is to fool them into fighting each other.

There is a third option.  Blind luck.  But a novelist can't get away with this too often.

Dang, I just found out that I have to travel November 5th through the 8th and won't be able to write a lick. I'll have to figure how to plan around that.
