Short Story Challenge # 29 Revamped
« on: June 13, 2015, 05:46:29 PM »
Here’s your chance to give your imagination free rein. I’ll not be taking a vacation this year, so I would like to hear about yours. It can be about you, you with family and/or friends, or one (or more) of your characters.
The story should be No Less than 750 Words and No more than 1,500 Words, with “Vacation” somewhere in the title. FYI – the title will not count in word limit.

Include at least one of the following words – (some form of water – such as) River, Lake, Creek, Stream or Ocean.  Or (some type of a general location, such as) Desert, Mountain, Farm, Small Town or City. You can write about a vacation you have actually taken, one you would like to take or a fantasy vacation.

Don't forget, even a short story should have a beginning, a middle and an end.

Submit your story to me by PM (personal message) at Alice, a Country Gal.
For the new (or almost new) members here, you can click on my avatar which will open up my profile and then look down on the left hand side and click, “Send personal message.” A text box will open where you can copy and paste your submission. Please put “Short Story Challenge # 29” in the subject line of the Personal Message.

I will accept submissions until Midnight (central daylight time) June 30, 2015.

Happy Writing to each of you. I look forward to reading what everyone has to offer.

Looks good, Alice. And plenty of time, writers.

Wake Up, Wake Up.  Times not over yet so there is still time for you to write that short story.

Besides, I haven't unpacked all my books after moving and I'm running out of things to read and/or re-read.  :o

The challenge is now closed. Please take a few moments to read two stories I predict you will enjoy. Don't forget to vote.

I've allowed ten days for voting - ends July 11, 2015.
