I'm in Sugar Land.  We've just been here 2 months but a week of that was sorting visas out in the UK.  I'm loving it now but was a bit over-whelmed by the size and space at first.  Austin looks very nice.  We're planning a weekend there at some point.  Our first trip away though, is going to be to Rusk / Palestine to go on the steam train.

Many years ago I lived in Houston.  It and the surrounding areas have exploded since then and I literally hate having to find my way around there.  And this from a woman who has always enjoyed driving!

At least in Sugerland you are a bit out of the worst of the hub and there is beautiful surrounding country.  Hope you don't have too much trouble wotj tje transision between what was and what is now.

If you have the time and inclination, let me know when you are heading in my direction.  Maybe we could meet for a cup of coffer . . . or tea if you prefer.  :)

Hey, we could even have some kind of vodka concoction.  :o

(please forgive any and all typos as I am half way through my first drink but haven't eaten for about six hours.  Time to find a snack I guess. )

Will take you up on that offer, thanks.  When we went home to the UK I visited an old friend.  She gave me a glass of cava with pomegranite juice.  She swears by it.  You should give that a try!  Anyway, my hubbie is back now so hopefully I'll get my wine now.
Cheers

I logged off just in time to miss this!  Darn.  Like the sound of the above though.  Alice - your typing got worse and worse - that vodka version must have been pretty darn good too!  ;D

I actually managed to work on my book - so maybe not such a bad thing it was quiet on here last 'night'.

Not a lot!

Very quiet - but here in UK it's Saturday morning, so everyone is probably out shopping, doing family things.  I'm just taking the opportunity of son watching football, daughter asleep (still) and husband out... 2,000 words more to my book so far!

What you up to then?  Too early for me to drink, I'm on the tea (not very good in here, I really should be back in the coffee shop but I've put on so much weight because of the doughnuts..)

It was good Carrie, enough vodka to help my shoulders and back muscles relax.  Unfortunately it effected other things as well such as eye and hand coordination.  But I had a much needed good night's sleep and am feeling great this morning.

Did you make any headway on your 2,000 words Carrie?  Hope so.

Paul, was it you who fixed my drink? Well, I'm sorry the badges looked like spots to me and I thought he was going under water till you clarified that he was infact going in the opposite direction! ;)

Now that I have apologised, will you fix me something better and not something to knock me off... ;D
