Carrie, maybe you have the same problem I do.  When I'm up and ready to play, everyone else seems to be either ready to go to bed are already in bed.

Oh well.  I just got in from work and grabbed a Dr. Pepper.  After I finish the DP, I think I'll start on a vodka martini and have my own little party - even if it's all by myself.

No Work Tomorrow.  So if I have a wee bit of a head . . . I'll deal with it.  It's been a touch two weeks and the first half of next week doesn't look any better.  I'm growing to Hate end of the month stuff!

You're going to have to raise more than a glass Paul.

How do you expect to drink with that fish bowl unside down over your head?

Has everybody else gone home? I have just logged on.  Just on tea at the minute.  Waiting for my husband to come in to open wine.

I'm still around, writing with this in the background though so just flicking in and out. ;D Space ducks never sleep.

It is a bit of a nuisance having to keep flicking backwards and forwards to see if anything is happening.  I'm just noseying around the rest of the site.  It's not very familiar yet.

Yeah, for this sort of thing it's easier in one of the messenger things.

There doesn't seem to be many people around tonight.  What time do people usually clock off?

There's a lot of us UK people on the forum, so they're mostly in bed. It depends though, can vary.

I've seen some of your posts on the NIAY site by the way - couldn't be doing with the slow forums myself but did read the articles and scan the forums (when I had plenty of spare time. ;D )

What time do people usually clock off?

It all depends on their country and/or time zone.  It's kind of a catch as catch can thing.

Instead of a martini, I opted for a drink I can up with recently.  Pomagranit juice, sparkling water and vodka.  Yummy!

Add ice, a straw and enjoy.

Okay Paul, your fish bowl will hold a lot more than my glass and straight scotch is a mite stronger than my mix, so just one glug at a time friend.  Don't want you getting too far ahead of me here.

BTW, just read your vampire story.   ;D  Juicy.

Hehe - I have super-duck resistance to scotch so can drink lots withouth falling over, I just wobble and quack a lot ;D

The story was one I knocked out in about an hour - I should have been working on my novel and couldn't get into it. It's amazing how easily you can write something else. Don't really like the vamp type in it, but it was something different. ;D

So you gonna do mer-vampires for me?

PaulW,  Do you not go on the NIAY site anymore?  I still like it but haven't been doing anything for a while.  Have just moved from Trinidad to Texas so haven't had much time for writing.  I love how familiar it feels though and it's great to see all the familiar names here.

Alice, you're tipple sounds great.  I've tired pomegrante juice because it's supposed to be the new miracle food but didn't like the taste.  I bet it is much improved by a healthy dash of vodka!!!!!

Drink sounds brill, I'm eating a pomegranite now just to get the feel for it. I think they are a fantastic colour. ;D

Ooh Alice (country4gal) is in Texas too - you're neighbours!!

I go to the site but I've never posted there. I like her articles but I didn't see the point of posting when half of them get lost anyway. I do enjoy reading the posts they manage not to lose though. I didn't really find out about it till Big T came over here anyway.

You beat me to it Paul.  I was just about to tell JMJ that I'm a Texas gal.  Oh well, it works out the same.

JMJ, what part of Texas are you in?  I live in the city, which has grown too large for this country gal.  But until I win the lottery, looks like I'm stuck here.

And a healthy dose of vodka improves most any liquid.  If it doesn't, after a bit you think it does anyway.  :)
