British members of MWC might be interested to know that the National Trust is holding its 'One Day in History' project today. People are being invited to submit a diary of up to 650 words on what they did on Tuesday 17 October. All contributions will be collected in a huge archive to be kept at the British Library and other locations.

I've just had a go at this. It was good fun but quite challenging as the most exciting thing that happened to me that day was a new carpet! It's worth having a look to see what other people were up to.
