forge write on ahead
« on: October 16, 2014, 07:00:11 AM »

I haven't posted here for some time, life delivered a couple of blindsides recently which dictate new approaches and strategies are needed. So here am I going backwards, to something I hope might propel me forward once again.

I have had a couple of things published and am 2/3rds of the way through a novel which I started several years ago and which an agent has voiced interest in. My husband died a couple of months ago, and in trying to come to terms with this I am now determined to finish the 'book' to fulfill the promise I made to him that I would.

I see a few familiar faces on the boards, and of course lot's of new ones too which is always great to see.

I guess I just wanted to say hello, and hope to be communicating with you all on a more regular basis quite soon.

My condolences Sanibel.

Focusing on your novel sounds like a good way of coming to terms with what has happened. Wishing you much success with it.

It's always great to see missing members back again. So many RL things can interrupt our writing and - thankfully most of the time it waits for us until we're ready to pick it up again.

I'm glad you found your way back here. Stay strong.

And I can't help asking, do you live on Sanibel Island? My sister lived there years ago.

Laura, I don't live on Sanibel island I only wish I did, but this and neighbouring Captiva island was a favourite place of mine and my husbands, and has a very special place in my heart. I hope one day to be brave enough to go back.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts they are much appreciated.

Had a really good day today, actually sat and wrote for a few hours getting a few plot problems under control. Tomorrow? Editing the rubbish I wrote today probably!
