Today's the last day to enter.  :o

All you have to do is submit 150 words (divided between your horror short story synopsis and opening). Simultaneous subs are more than welcome. If your submission makes it into round two, you'll have till the end of July to submit. Which basically means your story doesn't even have to be finished yet.

This is the 2nd annual Tales from The Lake horror writing competition, and last year's winner Jennifer Loring went on to sign a four book deal with Permuted Press.

This competition if FREE, and the top three finalists will win prizes, including money and a spot in Tales from The Lake Vol.2, which will contain stories by Ramsey Campbell, Jack Ketchum, Lisa Morton, Edward Lee, Tim Lebbon, Raven Dane, Rocky Alexander, Jim Goforth, Hal Bodner, Glen Johnson, Steven Savile, Richard Chizmar, Rena Mason, Ben Eads, Aaron Dries and Jan Edwards. And check out that cover.

Your judges are Emma Audsley, Jim Goforth, Ben Eads and myself, Joe Mynhardt.

You can support our FB page here: https://www.facebook.com/Talesfromthelake
Or you can find more details on the submission process, prizes and rules on the website: www.crystallakepub.com/competition-page.php

Very cool cover, Joe. I hope you got a flood of last minute entries.

Thanks, Laura. There were 116 entries. Bit less than last year, but I'm happy. Now to read them all.  :D

Still reading the last submissions, Ian. Some great stories to choose from this year.

Should have the results in about a week.  ;)
