Has anyone e-published with Kobo Writing Life?
« on: April 02, 2014, 08:18:44 AM »
I've published several titles via Amazon Kindle and am now looking at making one of those available on Kobo. I had a bit of a song and dance creating a login for Kobo (it insists that you log in via Facebook if you use an email address that is linked to a Facebook account). Now working my way through the rest of the process.
Anybody have any tips/experiences?

Don't know if there is any advantage to going directly through Kobo, but if you just want the outlets, Smashwords distributes through Kobo.

I assumed that Smashwords takes a cut of the royalties from the various retailers it distributes to.

Yeah, I think they do take a cut. But the joke is on them with me: since I don't sell anything, they don't make anything. Your mileage will no doubt vary.
