Harvest My Bloom
« on: October 02, 2006, 06:19:59 PM »
As wind lashed against the Las Vegas desert sand, and blasted grains
at my face, I felt your hands:

rough like sandpaper as you brushed
them across my face.

Then fell unexpected rain in dots and dashes. It pooled in one area,
near uneven sidewalk where I had lain, and wet my chest.
There I saw your uneven smile:

the right corner dipped lower (as it does)
and spilled drool onto my chest as you slept.

But today the wind and rain went farther south
than the birds.

And I sit alone, rocked shut.

Come brush your hands across my face,
my body, so you will agitate
my insides.
Come drool onto my chest,
my body, and clothe the agitation

Then wait and harvest the agitation,
a new me,
when I open up and bloom.

Write on,
