Ah, Swahili...

Back in 2011, Norway sent a song to Eurovision in English/Swahili and I've been in love with that song (and the language) ever since. Haba na haba, hujaza kibaba, right?

Yeah. Little by little fills the. . .???. . .embarassing that I can't tell what 'kibaba' is and I'm supposed to be the fluent one in Swahili.! Well, it's some kind of container. . .

Guys, you all just made me feel so at home. I mean it. Literally. And Bri H, I'm not being sentimental but fact is you've got a big heart. Thanks for everything.

You're so welcome, Tuoni. It's not just me though. Everyone else is just as nice. You'll see. But first you need to read as many stories/poems as you can. Tell people what you think. Even if you don't like something. But don't just say,
"I don't like it." Give a reason WHY you don't like it. People will appreciate your input more. Then when you post something of yours, people will respond to you in the same way. It really is THAT simple. Bri.

It's container/pot, according to most sites. Some times when I speak my native Bulgarian I have to pepper it with English and German. It's truly embarrassing, especially when the other party doesn't understand a word of what I'm saying. Hey ho. They live and they learn.
Ars longa, vita brevis... so just in case I also bake.

Tuoni - hello and welcome!!

There is a lot to absorb at first once you start exploring the boards, so take your time to get to know your way around. Keep an eye out for us folk with the blue stars under our names (Moderators) if you need some assistance.

You'll find important information contained in threads at the top of each board marked with a blue stickie/push-pin icon. A good place to start is the one that holds our forum etiquette guidelines: http://mywriterscircle.com/index.php?topic=7415.msg67005#msg67005

The most important tip I could give you though is to simply respect your fellow MWC members by contributing as much to the boards - by commenting on others' work before you post your own, or participating in some of the writing challenges for example - as you hope to receive.

Hope you enjoy your time with us (and maybe you might one day consider entering one of your short stories in the friendly competitions we have here) :D
It's good to laugh at yourself once in a while - why let everyone else have all the fun!
