Six Nations 2014
« on: February 02, 2014, 03:02:32 PM »
So -- we've had the first round of matches . . . and I haven't gloated. ;D Hoping the luck of the Irish runs for the duration of the  tournament. ::)

Your predictions for the winner this year?

Don't know :P I never watched Rugby all that much when I was back home (it's not a very popular sport over here). What teams are competing?
It's good to laugh at yourself once in a while - why let everyone else have all the fun!

wales not convincing
england played great
france are always dark horses
italy played well
scotland had a good first half
ireland are always good to watch

don't want to see wales win at all  ;D
obvious choice for me is england

but i'd love to see ireland do it again just for brian o'driscoll. a superior sportsman and a gent.

I think they should all be grateful Cornwall isn't - officially - a nation. ;-)
My website is currently having a holiday, but will return like the $6,000,000 man.  Bigger, stronger, etc.

In the meantime, why not take pity on a starving author and visit my book sales page at http://stores.lulu.com/gyppo1

That is what is fabulous about rugby -- yes there'll be banter, but you just give as good as you get and soon enough a pint will appear before you. ;D

Any forecasts for this weekend's matches? ::) http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/six-nations/fixtures

Ireland shouldn't be scared of the Welsh -- should be a good game. ;) Calcutta Cup follows it and then the Continentals have their match on Sunday.
