Fiction Writing Assessment Form
« on: January 28, 2014, 02:03:59 PM »
Here's a nice resource an author friend of mine posted on his blog: http://writinginthedarktw.blogspot.com/2014/01/fiction-writing-assessment-form.html

It's a great resource for writing teachers, critique groups or even competition judges.

Feel free to comment or perhaps add something.  :)

Cheers Joe -- good for self-checking too. I've already spotted several areas where I wouldn't show great strength -- never mind 'mastery'. ;D

I suppose it may have its uses. However, it seems a little too cold and clinical for my tastes. I'm really a "more than the sum of the parts" kinda guy, especially when it comes to things like Plot and Character (I personally believe that Character is Plot). It probably works okay for the mechanical side of things.

Thanks, Alice.

Since no one's really commenting on ways to improve it, perhaps we should move it to the resource centre.
