Edit: Nevermind. Actually, I've determined you have be pretty good to be this "bad". The podcast is really interesting. I sorta agree that his writing didn't seem so bad, just very outlandish compared to most sex scenes out there. And therefore, easy to ridicule. He definitely tried to be very sincere in his writing. The podcast mentioned that it seemed like when writing about sex "right when you're being sincere, everyone is laughing at you."  I think this is true in a sense.

I really like the publisher's response when they received the award on behalf of the author.

The only sex scene in a book I remember well, was Stephen King's Carrie. When the mother confronts her daughter on the evil ways of men, she says, "He put it in me . . . and I liked it." I thought it was an explosive scene. He wrote that well. I got the ref straight away. I'm like any average bloke. I don't mind sex-talk or sex scenes. I just don't like the badly written/portrayed ones. There's a great deal of responsibility in being a good author. I hope you all live up to that and beyond. Bri.
