Red Line -- up to 3.500 words Theme: Power
« on: August 02, 2013, 07:01:47 PM »
http://www.writing.ie/resources/red-line-magazine-call-for-submissions/

The Red Line is an online magazine publishing English language short stories from international writers.

The idea behind the magazine is to create an open dialogue between writers and readers. Each month we take the best six to eight submissions and present them to an international reading group. They choose a winner who then receives a prize of £50. The winning entry and all short-listed submissions will appear on the site.

Previous judging groups have hailed from Dublin, San Fransisco and London on themes such as Borders, Excess and The End.

Each issue is themed to help focus on specific ideas while also welcoming the myriad of perspectives that can be brought to them. We want writing thatís relevant, that pushes us to take a second look at the things around us and to reconsider our perspective on them.

We are looking for submissions, up to 3,500 words, from contributors who want to take readers on a journey first and foremost, but also want that journey to be to somewhere they would not normally go.

Issue 5 Theme: Power.    Deadline 31st August 2013.

Please submit via the submissions page: www.overtheredline.com/submissions. Do not submit more than one entry per issue/theme.

Submissions should be double-spaced, in Times New Roman or Arial, with the title, author, and page number at the top of each page.

One submission per theme. Simultaneous submissions are accepted but please notify us immediately if accepted elsewhere.

The Red Line acquires first rights for publication. Upon publication, rights revert to author.

Please check the site (www.overtheredline.com) for upcoming themes and announcements.
