That is the hardest bit for me Bill. Addy bounces along but to see the eyes of her dad today did my head in to be honest. They are trying so hard to keep it together.

Thanks guys for your beautiful wishes. I will keep you informed as they will me. Westmead is one of the top childrens hospitals in the world so she will be in great hands there.

I might wake up with a better mind set.  :-* :-*

I can only imagine what the parents are going through :'( Sounds like she will be where she needs to be for treatment, and she has hugs coming form all over the world  :-*

Addy's uncle Ian is doing a walk to raise money for both Addy and the oncology unit Addy is being treated in.

The special piece of this story is Ian will be doing this unsighted, he has been blind for about 9 years now.

Here is the heading of the sponser form telling about what his walk is about.

I remember when he first lost his sight, just how scared he was with the unknown. Now he is walking with a cane for Addy, he is amazing.  :D

Ian Clements will walk from Clarence Town to Dungog along VIA Glen William and Alison Road to raise money for his 3 year old niece Addalyn who has Lymphatic T7 cell cancer.  Addalyn is currently undergoing Chemotherapy for a tumour, has no immune system and low white blood levels. Ian who has been blind for 9yrs will  do the walk  to raise funds to assist the family and the J1 Childrens Oncology ward at  John Hunter Hospital. Normally Ian would have his guide dog Jesse with him when he is out and about but because of the distance he has opted to use his cane and the assistance of several of his mates to accompany him. Ian’s goal is to raise $10,000

Yeah he is a special sorta dude. Wild as in his youth, hence the loss of sight but an amazing adult with a beautiful family.

It will be appreciated without a doubt mate.

Addy had her scans, no good news in them I am afraid. This is off her FB

The oncolgist just rang me and the tumour isnt dead... so now we have to move onto surgery to biopsy it again... its still close to her heart so removing it is too much of a risk..

Yeah mate, it is. She didn't say whether it has shrunk at all.

I didn't see the following status, not been on there a lot, but this was during the weeek

Quote
Hello to all the wonderful Addy supporters... We have a CT scan on Thursday finally... it feels like forever since we've had some positive movement forward... we are hoping for good results but mummy is a little worried that we had such a long break without chemo... and im not sure what this means in terms of tumour growth hoping no effect at all or its disappeared, but any shrinkage is better than none... not looking forward to having to get Addy canulated again, it is very distressing for her and mummy but the drs only like to access the port for chemo
As of tomorrow we have been at home 4 weeks with no fevers which mean no long hospital stays, just long visits for transfusions and checkups and blood tests...
And altho her bloods appear to be on their way down (she's pretty pale) she is still her strong headed active and bubbly self which is beautiful to see altho sometimes trying lol... will do my best to pass on results as soon as I can...
Thankyou all, talk soon xx
