I do this with all the younger kids in the family ff. And it never fails to amuse them. It's a trick by the late Tommy Cooper (a uk magician and funny man) You get a small paper bag. Hold it open between your 'Peter-pointer (index) and Toby-tall (forefinger) but with your fingers crossed over inside the bag. Toss an imaginary ball at Addy for her to catch. Then get her to toss it back. When she does, you make a big show of going for the 'ball.' As you catch it, you flick your fingers to make the paper rustle as if something's dropped into it. With practice you can make this look so genuine. It's great to see the kids' open mouths in wonder. Try it. You can make it last and last without giving the game away.

I found this link on Yewie, that shows it a bit more. But this man is using a paper carrier bag instead of a little paper bag. Bri.

Thanks you guys. She is a little corker as all babies are. Since the steroids have gone she is a lot happier, they were doing her little head in.

I will play that youtube when I get home Bri, can't open it at work.  ;)

FF, it feels so good to see Addy's 'smiley' pictures. Cute little Minnie Mouse!  :)

I really wish her better days ahead. Hope her platelet count shoots up enough.

But, kids must be fascinated by your fire-fighting abilities! By the way, what are you called by the local kids? Any idea?  ;D

Kids are very fascinated by a female firefight mate, they always point and stare, or maybe that's my big nose.  :P

They all call me "Fire Lady"  ;)

Shes still in hospital mate, haven't heard much late. I don't like to hound her but I did send a text earlier so when I hear I will post here.

Thanks for asking.  :-*

It's  a difficult balancing act, knowing when to ask and when to let well alone for a while.  The family will be having odd moments when life seems almost normal, despite the looming threat.

True mate.

She text back not long ago to say Addy's blood count is still too low and all chemo has ceased until that picks up.

She is still in hospital though.

Tough times.  :(

It is very painful when one cannot do anything but wait and watch, 'hope' lingering.

Immense strength is what I wish for Addy and all those concerned.

Hope there is some great news somewhere down the road for little Addy and everyone around her.
