~ *** Who wants to play the fun story game? *** ~
« on: July 12, 2013, 11:07:50 PM »
hey everyone! this game is for fun

the basic idea is that two intelligent kids are talking how a relationship should be (what would be ideal). and about the importance of taking action. this could be presented in any way. they don't have to be talking

so basically we take turns writing a sentence, etc. of a part of the story

usually this game (when i first heard of it god knows from where) is freeflow but this one has guidelines as there is a specific purpose

so many relationships are good, but some aren't, and this part of the story (serving as a guide) would be incredibly helpful to anyone

i know what to put, but i just have a really really hard time figuring out the best way to present it, so i want to make it fun. one way to make it fun is to play a game like taking turn writing a sentence of the story, so you want to???

we'll do it over skype or something. thanks -- let me know

You’ll find our members are great at helping one another, but it helps if you read and follow the guidelines first.
Please take the time to visit the Welcome Board and introduce yourself.

Welcome Board:

Forum Guidelines:
http://www.mywriterscircle.com/index.php?topic=7415.0

Also, you will find Guidelines posted for a number of our boards, especially the prose and poetry boards. They are on the left hand menu when you open the board, generally named something like Read This First and stuck near the top with a Blue Stick Pin.

Please read and follow them.

Thank you,

Imagine you walk into a room full of people you've never had the chance to meet. Would you immediately try to get them to play a game you want to play? Or would you talk to a few, make an effort to get to know them at least a little bit before attempting to get them to follow your lead.

Yet, you came here and your first post was a game you wanted others to play with you. That's not the best way to enter a forum.

It helps if you give people a chance to get to know you. If you post on the welcome board, read our guideline and take the time to read some of the things people have posted and offer comments or critiques, it helps.

And the second was complaining because we don't want to skype with a stranger ...

If you search, you can find this type of game as part of the boards.
Some are a line, some are a line of good/bad alternating.
Some are just a proscribed number of words at a time.

We have lots of games available and if you are interested in playing some, you could join in the established games listed in this board. There are some other entertaining things in the Coffee Shop as well.

Playing nicely is so much fun. We aren't only creative, we are witty and charming and lovely people scattered around the globe. Most of the time anyway.

Try to stick to the rules as they are listed in the first post of each game and have as much fun as you want.

But it is probably best to form a relationship anonymously before you skype.
