Discovering a new way of doing things today, I thought it may be a good idea for posting our own works. Every picture tells a story. So I thought we could try it. It doesn't even have to be a story if you don't want to. Just a little descrip of the picture.
Ok here goes.
This is one of the many hundreds of pictures I've taken over the last few years of The English Lakes(Cumbria) I love taking photographs of light and water, sunrise and sunsets. This is a sunset looking over Lake Windermere last year. Bri.

Nice picture, sir. I like the idea of this thread, but...I forgot how to upload a photo here. When I figure it out, I will do so.

Go to wherever your pic is, click on share, click BBC code, highlight, copy, post in reply here and post. I learned it from Sc, and ff, and a bit from Pw.  ;D

I took this picture on a hiking trip on Mount Edith Cavell in the Canadian Rockies in 2007. There are two glaciers that are hanging over this valley, and they are both in the process of melting: Angel Glacier and Cavell Glacier. This pond is the result of that melting and the chunks of ice are actually pieces of glacier that have broken off in the melting process. To give you a sense of scale, the man standing next to that piece of glacier is about 6 feet tall.

This is me and my big sister. She has been my shelter all my life. She is five years older than I am and was happy to have a baby to play with and there has never been a time when she hasn't been there, like this, with her arm around me, protecting me from all the badness that might be out there.

Hiya guys. We holiday every year in the English Lakes, we go to a little cottage on the shore of Windermere, called Azalea cottage, would recommend it to anyone, especially if you have dogs, cos they let you take em as long as you're responsible and look after them properly. We climbed up into the foothills, and on the way up Tod Crag(behind the cottage) I kept noticing the effects the passenger launches were having on the water, down at the bottom of the valley. As it was getting near dusk and the light was perfect, I waited for another launch to pass and took three pics. This is one of them, and I love it. I'm thinking of getting this one enlarged and mounted on our wall. Hope you all like it. Bri.

One year there seemed to be hundreds of little frogs congregating around the base of our downspouts, both in the front and back yard. The kids loved watching them, catching them . . . taking them for a swim in the wading pool we used to have. I wasn't so keen on picking up the adult-sized creatures, but this one was really cute :)

I was at a park with my kids and my parents when they were visiting a few years ago, when I spotted this mama Canadian goose and her two little goslings. Just strolling along at a leisurely pace, just like the two-legged creatures who would give them a wide berth as they passed :D
