Just a question
« on: September 09, 2006, 12:58:16 AM »
I want very much to be an author, but I feel like I can write a screenplay better, because I have such a vivid imagination.  My question is, should I try to become published before I try a screenplay or is becoming a published author going to help me get my foot in the door easier as a screenwriter?

Any help is appreciated.   ;D

Wantabe,

If screenwriting is your passion, then get at it.  Learn all you can about it, and be the best danged screenwriter you can possibly be. Period.

I think you should explore all avenues .... the one that attracts you the most will be the one you keep going back to!

I thank you both for of your answers, but I think I asked the wrong question.  I hate it when I know the answer, but for some reason ask anyway.  Like a wise man once told me, "What are you pretending not to know?"  Of course I'll go to the one I am attracted to the most, but not limit myself to one.  I just like to write.  The one I am better at will reveal itself in time.   ;)
