The Inner Universe

Universe
Oily mass of undulating skies
Stays above us
Across the heavens
Like
A Magic eight ball
Visionary lens
Problem solver
Chasing us all the time
Experiences our lives

Universe
Skies black and pools of tar
Minds and souls lost in the sea
Spills over into life
Like
Thought and dreams
Breath of being
Deep in our bodies
Expanding our inner thoughts
Reaching within us

Trotter’s Walk

Heels clip clop, clip clop,
catch concrete flags
en route to the bus stop.

Street lamps blank as I approach,
just as tills freeze or computers crash,
in my presence. It’s not unusual.

Wind-up watches stop all the time
and in those locked moments
I wonder if something is calling
through electricity or chemistry
perhaps, to me, in a secret way.
Coded posts in light and power,

come the hour, I’ll be ready
in spike-heeled, split-toe boots,
with their gilt grid ankle cuff,

threads patterned like a circuit board,
my green pig skin trotters
tapping out the signals

in rock and roll rhythm.

Pencils Down

From pitched
blackened-space
when time stretched out
only to greet hydrogen atoms coming in
for an occasional Big Bang theory
a sultry voice notified,

"Time's up."

My Telephone Rings Wrong Number

The telephone rings,
Lift the receiver,
Hears some squeaky sound,
Seems far effusive voice
Stoically squawks
Like eagle’s cry
Asking:“Ix thix ert?”
Silence prevailed a moment,
I said: “Hevn”
The voice replied:
“Srix, I’xe dixtuxr yx”

The telephone rings twice again,
Lift the receiver
Hears some twitchy sound,
Seems far effusive voice again
Stoically splushes
Like angel’s cry
Saying:
“Ux axwrx xal frx mx sxn?
Silence prevailed a moment,
I said: “Noix, xy?”
The husky voice replied:
“Sxry, wrxn nxbxr”.

The telephone rang many times,
It hits my anger,
I thought these aliens
Are really annoying,
I answered: “What?!”
Brief silence prevailed a moment,
Somebody said:
“We want to inform you,
Your flight to heaven is due.”
I said: “Thanks, see you then.”

I woke up the next morning,
Waiting the telephone rings again
But, the whole day passed
No aliens nor angels call
Thinking may be the universe’s got
My wrong number.

Shooting Star

Fingered, tongued and ready.
His white arse, rose to the moon
before entry.

A choir of bats
screeched a coital serenade,
as an elongated 'NOW'
slow motioned, urged
the engorged inside.

It came fast,
heated by the friction.
Burned his hole-hair
before resting
spent and singeing
the brown lips.

Sitting naked in a cold stream,
foreskin, bundled strange
between his balls.
His penis
tucked inside himself
for warmth

he had to admit that
it was
a pretty good shot.
