Have 10 minutes? Try this.
« on: February 19, 2012, 12:18:23 AM »
I read this from Dan Baker, PH.D. founding director of the life enhancement program. It was fun.

Pick 5 qualities you value most.

Adventurousness
Artistry
Boldness
Charity
Cheerfulness
Civility
Cleanliness
Compassion
Courage
Creativity
Dependability
Empathy
Faithfulness
Fitness
Flexibility
Health
Helpfulness
Honesty
Humility
Humor
Intelligence
Inventiveness
Kindness
Love
Loyalty
Perceptiveness
Pleasure
Reverence
Simplicity
Thrift
Trustworthiness
Wealth
Wisdom

For each trait you picked write a sentence describing how you usually incorporate it into each day: for example I'm on time for Dependability.

Rank each one from 1 to 5 based on how well you live by it (1 not at all , 5 very much so).

Write a small way you can practice your lowest ranked value for example if Adventurousness is last you might write Plan a trip somewhere exotic.

Lets see how creative you can get.

I think maybe doing only one will work better. And I have the attention span of gnat ... so ...

Thrift

Because of our thrifty lifestyle, Dick has been able to retire at age 62. We haven't been trapped by the advertising trap that tells us we want something we didn't even know existed five minutes ago. It does keep one less dissatisfied to shun advertisement. It also helps build up bank accounts and investments.

Although on a down side to this; one might say I'm actually cheap.
Little Bits of History A short essay on something that happened on any day.

Imperfect Reason My thoughts, such as they are.
