William Shakes in Fear

Rudely awakened from a midsummer nightís dream, (say that three time.) hark, a knock and another, at mine door. Exit stage left. Ouchómust we turn out all the lights?

Speaking louder than needed. Fair Juliet, this be not fairyland. Pray thee why at this hour you wish to rent?Ē Arms stretch forth, jerking and unsure where to gesture.

Clasping her hands together, I need this roomy oh for art thou. Eyes shift left then right. Is it to be or not to be?

You steps on my line wench. Yet, holding up a single finger in a grand gesture, it is to be, as long as you pay in advance.

It donít say that.

Yes it does, see.

Taking her mark slightly up stage. Splendid, now may that I might, or is it might that I may leave where Iím staying. It has become crowded; living with my uncle and his three daughters. My kin leer at me. Cringing, believing the vegetable hoarding audience hated that last pun.

In that case, act fast while the moon is full, seen two others looking over stones. Do you have anyone for to help?

I do, or I dust. I do and then Iíll dust, but yes, Henry was the fifth to volunteer. Moreover, my roommates, Mac and Beth fleeing three witches, shall come.  Dare to keep an eye in Beth, she walks in her sleep.

Naked?

Sometimes.

By all means, bring Beth. Smile slyly tugging upon the lace at your wrists.

Join hands and bow . . . fade to black.

You sure you have the right script?

Nnnnnnnnn ÖÖYes?

Okay -- even worse [I think all the plays are referenced]

What a tragedy Cori, Olí Anus
got caught up wiv Titus Andronicus
aní his tories Ė three kings, Dick, John and Hank,
though there were four of them. they Ďad to thank.

But, prithee tell of the foreign gentlemen
whom Verona sent, or where stout Timon
of Athens tamed a shrew, or píraps a vole.
Who knows what parts doth make comedy whole?

Yea, forsooth, all well that ends well, innit?
Measure for measure itís as you like it.

Save for the winterís tale, the tempestís slight
doth striketh souls on a midsummerís night
when the fair and merry wives of Windsor
seduce the serpent, Julius Caesar
a Roman in truth conspired in menace,
known by some as the merchant of Venice;
such as the Italian boy, young Romeo
or the black moor and soldier, Othello.

But itís a comedy of errors, right?
A troll ate Cressís da on the twelfth night
which is odd when you think the politics
did not involve the Orangemenís foul tricks.

Watch out Ė your Hamlet cigar is afire

Worry not, Pericles Prince of Tyre,
the duty staff will ensure tis all clean,
Mac, Beth, Cleopatra and Cymbeline
work well with Lear and Aunt Toniís lot.
Juliet will sort out loveís labourís lost.

They're  comin' to get you, skip, they're comin' to get you.  The men in the white coats, they'er comin' to get you. ;D

I enjoyed this.
Most people live and die
with their music still unplayed.
They never dare to try.
