Nice to meet you, Katina!
Welcome to My Writer’s Circle :)  You’ve just become part of a wonderful community.

Please take a moment to read the guidelines for forum etiquette -

http://www.mywriterscircle.com/index.php/topic,7415.0.html

Now, go have fun exploring the site!   You'll find Blue stickies (with the push-pin icons) at the top of each board.  Read these.  They’ll help you find your way around and acquaint you with the local customs.

It’s considered good manners to critique a few pieces in Review My Work or Review My Poetry before asking for reviews yourself.  You’re more likely to receive helpful feedback after you’ve contributed a bit.

Consider entering any open flash fiction or poetry contests.  They’re fun and anonymous.

And, If you ever get stuck in one of the dark, winding tunnels or have a question  feel free to pm a moderator – we’re the ones with blue stars over our heads.

Most of all, enjoy hanging out with the writers on MWC   ;D

Hi Katina -- welcome to MWC :) :) :)

Why don't you have a mosey over to our latest challenges, which are up for members' votes?

Poetry here and you have 3 votes: http://www.mywriterscircle.com/index.php/topic,41701.0.html The prompt for this was a picture [on this thread: http://www.mywriterscircle.com/index.php/topic,41504.0.html ]

Prose here for one vote: http://www.mywriterscircle.com/index.php/topic,41624.0.html This challenge was to write:  what you normally wouldn’t write: the bodice ripper otherwise known as romantica, the combination of erotica and romance. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romance_novel

The genre has to have a romance and an optimistic ending. It can be as naughty as you like, but of course it can’t contain any seriously dirty words; this is an exercise in innuendo and imagination. You want to raise your Sunday school teacher’s eyebrows as high as possible without her turning you in to the pastor. Let’s shoot for between 250-750 words, but if you’ve really got it working a few hundred more will draw no disqualification.
