Hello from Australia
« on: January 31, 2012, 11:02:15 PM »
I'm too lazy to write a new introduction to myself so this is copied and pasted from my facebook:

Quote
People call me Rissa, short for Larissa... I am interested in everything from science and medicine, to the arts and philosophy. I love reading, writing, drawing, painting, acting, singing, playing guitar, learning, op shopping, giggling, and spending time with my friends, family and pets. I think nerds are hot, I have a weakness for warm hugs, and I firmly believe a nice hot cup of tea to be sacred.

I love women. I really, genuinely love them, with a deep, abiding passion that can only be understood, I am convinced, by other woman-loving creatures. The deep, abiding passion I have for women cannot surpass any amount of love I have for any other thing or person.

I am a quiet person but I am a good listener. I am very inquisitive but I hardly ever know the answer. Mature for my age yet I have my silly moments. I know exactly what I want out of life but It's going to take a long time to get there. I am a student but I procrastinate too often. I start sentences but sometimes don't finish th..

By the way... I am looking for e-mail pen pals, particularly ones who speak French because I would really like to learn to speak French, so if you're interested - drop me a line! (You don't have to speak French or not know me to be my pen pal.) :3

If you’re on my friends list, then this is for you; feel free to talk to me anytime. Tell me your feelings, fears, troubles and concerns; you can say pretty much anything to me, even if it’s fraudulent nonsense. I won’t judge you and I’ll listen to anything you have to say, because that’s what friend are for, right? If you see me online, talk to me!

My tumblr (working hard or hardly working) I wouldn't follow this blog if I were you. I wouldn't click on the link below if I were you, you might regret it..... http://aussienerd.tumblr.com/

My other blog (Nothing is written in stone)
http://aussienerd.wordpress.com/
It's easy it is to erase something written in pencil, and less easy to erase something written in ink, but harder still to change an inscription that had been carved on a tombstone. That is why the cliché "nothing is written in stone" became my blog title, because I wish my words are imprinted in the reader's mind, like words written in stone.

Also, my favourite books include nineteen minutes, sing me home and my sister's keeper by Jodi Picoult, Pandemic and Rage therapy by Daniel Kalla, Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami, Never let me go by Kazuo Ishiguro, The power of one by Bryce Courtenay, The colour Purple by Alice Walker, Seriously I'm Kidding by Ellen DeGenerous, and a clockwork orange, Catcher in the Rye, and of course the Harry Potter books, The Sookie Stackhouse series, Lord of the Rings, and Twilight.

Welcome aboard. That's some list, personally I prefer The Remains of The Day to Never Let Me Go.

Nice to meet you, Rissa!

We're glad you decided to join the community at MWC.  Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the forum guidlines -

http://www.mywriterscircle.com/index.php?topic=7415.0

It’s considered good manners to critique a few pieces in Review My Work or Review My Poetry before asking for reviews yourself.  Give and take, you know?

Consider entering any open flash fiction or poetry contests.  They’re fun and anonymous.

If you get stuck in one of the tunnels or have a question, feel free to pm (personal message) a moderator – they’re the ones with blue stars below their usernames.

Most of all, enjoy hanging out with the writers on MWC!
