Introduction to insanity!
« on: January 28, 2012, 11:45:53 AM »
Hello, my name is Mike Stevens, and like to introduce you to the insanity that is my thought process!  I've been told by friends and family to seek physiological help, but I've ignored that advice and turned to the scribe doctor instead!  Writing is a sure way for me to plumb the depths of my thoughts, such as they are, without risk of becoming even more bazaar!  It serves as a sort of self-help; this exploring of my dark, out-of-left-field thoughts.   But read my stories at your own risk!*  I'd type more, but this white coat with the long sleeves makes typing (or drinking coffee, or just about anything!) difficult!

*not responsible for violent heaving which the reader may suffer upon reading of my writings

Welcome to the Circle, we have much to offer. We’ve divided the subjects of interest into categories. (There are subheadings under each one.) However, before you go any further, please drop by this link below and give it a read.

http://www.mywriterscircle.com/index.php?topic=7415.0

It will familiarize you with how we do things; our forum-educate, and limits.  Reading this page first will help. None of us wants to meltdown the servers or any of our other members.

Visit our Coffee Shop. Make some friends in the, ‘MWC Bar’ for instance. Ask some questions and jump right in. We do however ask that you help a few others before you post any of your own work. Look for a blue pushpin at the top of each page-list you open. Read that post.

Whether you are a reader, writer, or a poet, we have it all.  As implied in the name, ‘My Writer’s Circle’, we all learn from, and teach one another. Again, welcome aboard.

Hello Mike and welcome to our forum.

An unusual introduction to say the least, but I'll reserved judgement until I get to know you better and have a chance to read what you write.  ;D

Thanks for the welcome; I'd have to say L. Something Montgomery, who wrote the Anne of Green Gables series, and some authors who are tremendously popular, such as Michael Connelly, John Grisham, and Bernard Cornwell.  I know there are others, but I can't think of them offhand!

Hiya, Mike. I saw that you mentioned this site to another from our faraway land. Thought I'd come by and check it out, see what this is all about.

Sorry I didn't mention it to you yet.  I'm pretty happy with it; I posted The Living Landscapes yesterday, and within a 1/2 hour, I had 12 reads and a comment, so at least I know they're being read. I hope you like it, and it's nice to see a friendly face, so to speak!
