Sistine Chapel.
« on: January 28, 2012, 04:34:51 AM »
Received this today via email and thought it was too amazing not to share here.

TO   VIEW EVERY   PART OF THE   MICHELANGELO'S   MASTERPIECE,   JUST CLICK AND   DRAG YOUR   ARROW IN THE   DIRECTION YOU   WISH TO SEE.   In the lower   left, click on   the plus (+)   to move   closer, on the   minus (-) to   move away.   Choir is   thrown in   free. MOVE THE   ARROW AND YOU   WILL SEE EVERY   PART OF THE   CHAPEL.
This   virtual tour   of the Sistine   Chapel is   incredible.   Apparently   done by   Villanova at   the request of   the Vatican .

Enjoy  :D

Only have two more things on my list to do before I die:

Visit the chapel.
Have a pint of guinness in Ireland.

It's impressive, and damned clever.

My website is currently having a holiday, but will return like the $6,000,000 man.  Bigger, stronger, etc.

In the meantime, why not take pity on a starving author and visit my book sales page at http://stores.lulu.com/gyppo1

I remember when this came out. Actually there are key sites in the world where this 'tour-viewing' was done. Art is always breath-taking when done by the Masters.

Thanks for the post. :)  am surprised they let you in to view, lil glo, in that outfit :P

Do you see the dark rectangle on the front-left wall, about 10 meters up from the floor?
What is that, possibly an un-restored/un-cleaned section of the wall?

Did you notice that nearly all the nudes have heads the size of their knees?

Women had muscly arms -- didn't they?

Is the knee thing a ‘point of view/prospective’ ? (Illusion of being closer to the observer.)
