Does remuneration corrupt artistic intent?
« on: January 25, 2012, 04:48:40 PM »
The joy felt by the novice author when he (or she) publishes the first book, knows no bounds.
Then it is 2 or 5 and then 20, with ongoing lucrative contracts from a main stream publisher.
Is this how JKR first felt when starting out or writing just for her child?

At what stage does the author's endeavours stop just paying the bills and catapult them into the heady world of the rich & famous?

Would we all say " I would be so lucky!"
