comic verse
« on: January 31, 2006, 06:01:42 AM »
Here's another one of my verse, based on my son.

Rocker
Turn that music down, I scream
This is a Nightmare, not a dream
My Son’s discovered Rock
My head, it is reeling
This is such a shock

He’s gelling his hair
In front of the mirror
He’s got to wear his T-Shirt “just right”
His trousers must look all messy and baggy
What a sight to see
Outside at night

Playing ‘Air Guitar’
He’s looking quite mean
As he jumps and strums
 to the sounds of Queen

“You’re so old fashioned”
is his usual reply
-but my Son is only
a 10 year old Guy!

Excellent. I know where you're coming from. I have a son who is 9 and already at that level  ;)

Hee Hee!

Well it's like the old joke,  "Insanity is hereditary. You get it from your kids!"

Hi Poetryanne

A nicely observed piece. Thankfully I have lomg passed this stage with my family but will pass it on to one of my friends whose son had his eleventh birthday last weekend.
